In German there is a saying: “Ich muß gar nichts.” In English that would be: “I don’t have to … anything”, but I am not happy with that because it isn’t intense enough. The literal translation is: “I must nothing”. It’s something I have been telling myself for the last weeks, and it is quite relieving. If there’s something I should do because of circumstances, I ask myself: Do I really have to? And then comes the “I must nothing!” May seem a bit odd for you neurotypical readers, well, it is helpful to me. Still, the translation bothers me a bit ☺️
