Last But One (2) – Knitting A Jumper

A some of you might now already I’ve been knitting a jumper as a Christmas present (or nightmare gift) for one of my most favourite people in the world. A true labour of love it was, and because I’m so effing proud of it I’ve captured some knitting moments over the course of making the whole thing.
The wool I’ve used is Istex Léttlopi from Iceland, it smells just wonderful of sheep and nature. The pattern is called “Aftur” which means /return/. I hope the wearer always happily returns from his adventures and stays warm.
The colours I’ve picked are associated with my friend’s favourites in nature – green mountain pastures, dark red lobelia (Nigritella), blue skies, marmots, snow and rock – the greyish white of the body I also chose because I find it suits him well. And it does :o)

So I sat there and knitted …

… and had lots of tea to go with it, not to mention many good movies and series, such as Ally McBeal, The Woman In Black, My Blueberry Nights,  Love Actually, Ab Fab, Once, and many more. Plus lots of music too.

I made two sleeves, one at a time.
