Dunes And The Sea

Am spending a few days in Schouwen Duiveland, which is an island in the very west of The Netherlands. Grabbed the car, threw in the good old lila bike and drove here, because I needed some me-time and sea sights. The sea is not as close to Cologne as it is to Hamburg (and I consider this a demerit indeed) and it takes some time to get here but it is a lovely little place and I’m having a nice time so far. So does the bike, I hope. Now I’m on a camp site, sitting next to my tent, Lila’s snooring quietly, I’m having a beer and lots of good thoughts. All is well.
Prost :o)

On The Beach

After cycling round the island of Schouwen-Duiveland these chips with peanut sauce (patat met pindasaus) were well deserved (and very lekker)

Edited to add: A lot of stuff happened in the meantime, for instance Tix (the other bike) and I had a little accident, I fell on my head and back and Tix fell on me, he’s still healing, I’m much better already – anyway, it’s been two weeks that I’ve been to Schouwen-Duiveland, so it’s time to hit the publish button for this posting.
Have a lovely weekend :o) x
