When I started studying I needed a bike to get to and fro. I found him in an – even then – antique bicycle shop and fell in love with his appearance almost instantly. Just had the racing handlebar replaced with a more “tame” version. Recently I also put on a new saddle and cork bar tape, along with the usual wear parts (chain, pedals etc.)
He’s not as comfortable as my other bikes, there’s no suspension stuff at all, so riding is rather immediate and pure. But he’s lighter and faster and simply a lot of fun.
Unlike me he doesn't mind the heat today. He's a cool old guy, wearing his lila outfit with grace. Right now he's a bit bored though so I'm off to take him for a ride.
