In my last posting I said I’d be writing more frequently, but so far I haven’t, because there’s so much going on at the moment.
There’s the book-writing which comes along quite well. Actually it’s done already, the story is told and all that, but still I’m having loads of ideas and amendments to make. Right now I’m in a mental debate with one of my main characters because he’s not really moving (or cycling) in the direction I’d intended for him to move to, he’s a stubborn bastard at times, he really is. This may sound a bit weird and admittedly my pair of writing-shoes is still not completely broken in – maybe other writers are doing this differently – I, for one am in a constant dialogue with my main protagonists. I’m telling them and they react and tell me and that is what I write down. For me they’ve come to life already and I hope that one day you’ll meet them, too – between the pages of a book and your own imagination that is.
Another going-on-thingy is my current whereabouts. I’ve travelled a lot during the last months but I’ve always come back to Cologne, a place I actually chose rather randomly. More and more I’m beginning to really like it here. Why that is, I can’t really say, it’s more of a feeling of good vibes and kindness and that I really like. Right now I’m sitting in a café, enjoying a soy latte, soft music is playing in the background, people are murmuringly talking, the sun’s shining, my bike’s leaning just outside on a lamppost, waiting for me and I’m feeling really good.
