[edited to add, 1. Jan 2014 – How quickly things can change and how fast their meaning can be altered. I feel like I have to rewrite this complete posting. I won’t because that might change my memories of how things were and how I see them.
“To remember is to forget” – that means if you remember something, you’ll never exactly remember how it really was. You’ll always miss a detail or two and that will change the actual character of what you’re remembering.
It does happen that someone else adds a certain detail to a memory, sometimes just with one sentence. Words can alter or even destroy memories too and that is a shame!
Today I’ve learnt something that is enormous for me to grasp. It’s so heavy it weighs me down. It’s literally too much. It’s backbreaking and I’m off.]

So another year has come to a close. All in all 2013 was a good year, it really was. A bit bumpy occasionally, but most of the time it was interesting, inspiring and enlightening.
I hadn’t expected much at the start, actually I had no expectations at all, and in the end I’ve been given a lot and I’m grateful for that. So, one thing I’ve learnt this year is not to expect anything, but to just walk (or cycle for that matter) the road and see where it leads to. There’ll be some nice surprises along the way (there may be bad stuff too though, but then, that’s life unfolding).
Among many, there’s been three special moments that I’ll treasure forever. When I think of it, I realise that one lead to the other, and the last one was the best! If I had to sum up this year’s good events it would come down to these three things.

For 2014 I wish the winds of change won’t leave me freezing. I wish for both continuity and adventures. I hope I can finally manage to cross a certain bridge. And I wish for happiness. Loads.

In the end life is about love and sharing. Share what you have – your abilities, your joy, your knowledge, your love.
Smile at people. Notice kindness. Don’t be silent – say what you have to say and don’t leave others in the dark. Be kind and forgiving. Stay authentic. Listen. Have hope. Slow down ( I know I have to!). And make some soup :o)
