Autumn time is apple time and I’m glad to live in a region where various cultivars of apples are grown. A couple days ago I got a load of red apples named Rote Sternenrenette or Calville Etoilée or Early Red Calville, also known as Christmas Apple or Heart Apple. In fact, with a bit of good old imagination, there is a heart to see on the apple’s cut face. Maybe it’s the mystery apple oracle telling me I will find love soon? Oh well. In the end it’s just a pretty apple that tastes and looks nice in my morning muesli. But I may eat another one of those later today :o)
