[-235 or 131] Music

Today has been another very busy day, with work to be done and stuff to think about and errands to be run and whatnot, but while I was at it, I had good music to listen to, which made it all the better. I feel very blessed to have so much music, and people who are sharing it, in my life. A heartfelt THANKS for that. Thank you music makers, song writers, singers, lyricists, melody inventors, bands … with all my heart, thank you.

I could go on about music forever, and songs that have been with me, like milestones, songs that are captured in memories and moments I’ll treasure ’till the end of my time, but I must go and carry on with work and stuff to think about – accompanied by music.

Track of the day is Jim Croce’s “I Got A Name“, that song’s been with me since the mid 80ies, when I was reading the lyrics of “I Got A Name” in a book. It took me a while to get my hands on the song (no youtube in those oh so blissful days) and I ended up having my Mama, bless her, ordering the single in our local music store. Still have it somewhere. Good times. Good night.  x

PS. While I was writing this, I listened to another fabulous piece by the grand Neil Young, “Down By The River“, it reminds me of  yellow-pale summer evenings, the smell of dried grass and warm soil, red wine and friends. Bliss …
